Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own! This podcast is hosted by Amazin Avenue women. We discuss all things Mets and social justice issues in baseball.
This week we will be discussing the only good news in baseball: the Mets made two historic hires.
Next, we’ll talk about the issue everyone else is discussing: the second delay in starting the MLB season in the span of three years. This is because there has not been a new collective bargaining arrangement. We are angry. We are also sad. We love baseball, even though Rob Manfred doesn’t.
Finally, we end things with a much-needed Walk-off Wins. Here, each of us shares what made us happy this week, whether it’s baseball-related or not.
