Minister calls for cooperation in protecting Qatar’s environment

QNA reported that the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change asked residents to work with it and preserve and sustain Qatar’s environment. QNA also reported that it would take legal action against violators.

Monday’s statement from the ministry stated that its Protection and Wildlife Department had registered 15 violations of the ban on grazing. The ministry also said that it will take legal action against any environmental violations. The ministry stated that environmental monitoring patrols are available round-the-clock to protect the Qatari environment. They are stationed in different regions of the country to protect meadows from environmental encroachments or violations. The ministry urged citizens to report any violations by calling the unified call center number 184. It also stressed the importance of complying with Law No 32 (1996), which prevents damage to ecosystems and plant ecology.
