More than 200 pedals for a green environment – The Tribune India

Ambala, April 17

Today saw the organization of a cyclothon under the banner Saksham Pedal India. The event attracted more than 200 participants from all walks.

Bharat Petroleum organised the cyclothon. It was flagged off at Ambala Club by Captain Vinod Singh, District Revenue Officer to raise awareness for cycling and create a green environment.

Speaking on the occasion, Captain Vinod Sharma said: “Judicious use of various forms of energy and its conservation are a matter of vital importance for all of us for the betterment of our society and healthy environment”.

Suraj Pratap, Territory Manager (Retail), BPCL, Ambala, said: “Conservation is a collective responsibility of all of us”. He appealed to all citizens for their cooperation in building a nation that is environmentally friendly, clean, and pollution-free. —
