We were able to implement their system into our hotel operations, which allowed us to take on many social and environmental initiatives. It has been an enriching experience.

Mvenpick Resort Taba is located adjacent to Taba Protectorate, an Egyptian National Park that is home to unique geological formations as well as monument sites dating back 5000 years. The desert valleys have spectacularly colored canyons and support rare wildlife and plant varieties. There are also a number of natural springs such as Hadra Spring in Wadi Gezala.

Mvenpick Resort Taba sits on the shoreline. The resort is committed to protecting and supporting its beautiful, coastal environment as well as local communities. The resort pledges donations to Nuwiba Charity Organization during its annual Kilo of Kindness charity. This organization provides a wide range of social services in Egypt, including education, cultural, volunteering, and charitable initiatives. The resort raised 38,000 Egyptian Pounds for local communities through dry foods and school supplies during the last charity event.

The resorts Green Team organized a beach clean-up to celebrate World Environment Day.
Numerous innovations have been implemented around the resort to reduce its environmental footprint. To help guests sort rubbish out of the landfill, the resort installed colour-coded clay dustbins that have bio-degradable liner to make it easier. The resort has reduced the use of plastic cutlery, cups, and straws and replaced them with biodegradable papers and wood items. The property also uses clay as a lighting source for its bollards. The resort’s Green team cleaned up beaches and natural areas to mark World Environment Day.
