MUMBAI, India, May 18, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Balwant Sheth SchoolThe Board of Architects (BSSA), was established in 2007 during a time when IndiaIt was going through a period of rapid change, due to major shifts in its cultural sphere and liberalisation of the economy. The school had to think of the architect that would meet these new demands. The world of architecture and the built environment was changing rapidly due to the proliferation of new materials and technologies. The school was established with the intention of reviewing the practice of a designer and engaging with multiple disciplines to build the foundation for research-oriented design.

The 5-year-old award was recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA). Bachelor of Architecture This program is intended to stimulate debate and generate new ways of learning and teaching architecture. Architecture has new roles and responsibilities. This is in contrast to the traditional model of the service provider and technocrat who provide smart building solutions through rigorous academic research and fieldwork projects. The program’s main goal is to expand architecture and design opportunities to include newer dimensions of management studies and socio-cultural studies. This is achieved by the program’s constant adaptation and infusing of new concepts from technology and management viewpoints through various program options, especially the Electives and para-academic workshops. Students also have to complete 15-18 weeks’ internships in planning, architectural, or construction firms. All of this gives students 360-degree exposure through studio learning, interactive sessions and case studies, as well as interaction with industry leaders. To ensure that students succeed, the Institute has a dedicated placement cell.

BSSA offers a five years guarantee Bachelor of Architecture Degree according to the norms of Council of Architecture. To apply, one must have cleared the 10+2 scheme of examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also secure 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 examination. They must also have a minimum score of 70 out of 200 marksIn the National Aptitude Test in Architecture.After filling out the admission forms, and other formalities, a merit listing is made based on each individual score.

The 2018 launch of the. Master of Architecture Degree ProgramThe 2-year program is an extension of the Bachelor’s program that allows for advanced design experimentation in contemporary architecture. The course is designed to teach professionals how to develop innovative design strategies to create architecture and structures that are both humane and creatively challenging. The course includes workshops for digital prototyping and fabrication, as well as an international study program and many interactive sessions with industry leaders.

The school established a program in order to further the goals and ideas of the school in this field a few years back. Master’s in Architecture. Students must have at least 50% aggregate marks in the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), or equivalent course recognized by Council of Architecture to be eligible for the Master’s program. The school will review the portfolio and technical requirements of the applicant, then invite him/her for a personal interview. The criteria for enrolling a candidate in the M.Arch program is based on a cumulative assessment of their academic record, portfolio of work, and performance at the interview (if requested). Final year students are not subject to age restrictions.

CIED offers Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Interior-Environment & Design This program is designed with a larger goal to expose students to diverse design ideas and typologies, such as Hospitality Retail, Housing, and others. Students will be able to participate in interactive workshops, explore design ideas through design studios, and follow Indian and International Study Visits. They will also work on advanced computations and spatial dynamics, and can also choose their electives, which will help them improve their cognitive and abstract thinking skills.

Students must pass the Personal Interview hosted in by the Centre of Interior-Environment Design to be eligible for admission. Candidates must score at least 50% aggregate in their 10+2 or equivalent examinations in any stream. Alternatively, one may hold a 10+3 (Diploma) any stream that is recognized by the central & state government. Filling out the registration forms is followed by a personal interview round, if you are selected.

The new Dr. Dean at BSSA Kaiwan MehtaHe has been involved in education and the field as an architect as a theorist. He proposes to develop these programs for even more new ideas in the field. The idea is to diversify the learning process of the architect of tomorrow, so that s/he can adapt and take on new challenges through creative actions that are based on critical thinking. The Center for Interior-Environment and Design, (CIED), is a natural extension of the design philosophy at NMIMS on the scale of Interior Environments. It focuses on architectural education, research, practice, and other modes. It focuses on the changing ethos, behavioral sciences and tools, and assimilates all of them into contemporary design expression. We have become a platform for experimentation in multi-scalar design, from furniture to architecture to urban studies. BA Hons Interior Environment & Design It’s a 3-year program which acts as a platform for experimentation for multi-scalar design ranging from furniture to architecture to urban studies. Students are exposed to a range of core, multidisciplinary, and value-added subjects throughout the program. They also have the opportunity to study areas such as art, history, sociology and film. The goal is to create a holistic learning environment that allows them to understand the practice of Interior Design in a wider context.
