A community-wide event will be held to encourage discussion about sustainability and the environment.

Livingston County United Way invites residents to participate in the discussion session, which will be held on Thursday, January 27, from 3pm to 4pm over Zoom. The session will focus on the environment, recycling and compiling, green gardening and waste reduction.

Liz Welch, United Way Community Investments Director, states that this will give you the opportunity to hear from different community members and organizations about these issues. You can also learn what work has been done that can be expanded in your local community and what still needs to be done. Livingston County is well-known for its pioneering efforts in collaboration and countywide solutions. Welch questions why Livingston County’s progress with environmental efforts should be any different.
