ISLAMABAD. Jan. 3 (Xinhua). Imran Khan, Pakistani Prime Minster, said Monday that a Pakistani-China business and investment forum would help improve the business climate in the country.
The prime minister addressed the inaugural ceremony of forum and stated that the forum will increase the country’s exports by industrialization.
He stated that Pakistan is working to facilitate investors through minimizing rules and regulations.
Khan stated that the second phase of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, (CPEC), focuses on industrialization as well as the agricultural sector in Pakistan.
Nong Rong, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, stated that the second phase of CPEC focuses on business-to business cooperation. The newly-established forum will encourage interaction and information sharing among its member companies and create more business opportunities.
Muhammad Azfar Ahsan (chairman of Pakistan’s Board of Investment) addressed the ceremony. He stated that the forum was jointly established by the Board of Investment as well as the All-Pakistan China Enterprises’ Association. It will explore further avenues of bilateral cooperation in the form of joint ventures or other mutually beneficial partnerships. Enditem
