Public Advisory: Environmental Assessment Registration fee now online

The Department of Environment and Climate Change provides an overview. OnlineOption for the public to pay the registration fee for a project for environmental evaluation registration

The current Cost Recovery Policy, which can be found here, governs the fees for undertakings.

Registering costs $400 plus HST. Non profit organizations are exempt. A schedule of fees is also required for undertakings with capital costs greater than $5,000,000. This is to offset the Department’s cost of conducting the assessment.

The public can still pay the registration fee for the environmental assessment by cheque, money order or credit card by calling Central Cashiers Office at (709-729-3042).
