Ruth Wilson resigned from ‘The Affair’ because of a toxic work environment

Ruth Wilson was the lead actor on Showtime’s hit TV show, The Affair,The series lasted five seasons. It was about the effects of a few affairs on the emotional well-being of those involved, as the title suggests. Wilson received much praise on the show but she left the series before it was finished. Part of the reason for her premature departure was due to the show’s work environment.

Ruth Wilson didn’t offer any specifics as to why she left The Affair at first. In an interview with the New York TimesWilson addressed the rumor she was leaving early for pay.
