Wildfire Evacuation Wisconsin

Wildfire warnings have been issued by Wisconsin officials for Saturday.

52 counties have been identified by the state Department of Natural Resources as being at “very high risk” for fires. Most of these are located in the northern part of the state. Eight counties are considered “high-risk” while all the other counties are considered “moderate risk.”

Authorities warn that fire spreading will be easier in dry and high winds. Officials advise people to avoid any outdoor burning, including campfires. Also, they recommend that you use caution when driving off-road.

Wisconsin has seen more than 250 wildfires this year, which covered approximately 440 acres. Officials stated that debris burning is the main cause of wildfires.
