Six ways to stay fit in a hybrid environment

New Delhi: For the past two years, our lives have been dominated by the coronavirus epidemic. The constant introduction of new variants poses a challenge to organisations and makes it difficult for them resume full-fledged operations. Expecting your workplace to return back to their normal office routine is like wishing you could live on the moon. A hybrid work environment is the best option. Being flexible with workplace norms is the best option.

There is always a silver lining in every cloud. Technology has taken the uncertainty out of bosses’ heads and made it possible for everyone to work from home using online meetings and other working options.

Although we have all come to terms with the hybrid workplace, we cannot ignore its negative effects on our mental and physical health. It does not reduce stress. In fact, it can increase it in many aspects. It is vital to be mindful of our health and put our best foot forward in order to succeed at work.

Let’s take a look at some tips for staying healthy while working remotely or at the office.

Keep hydratedThis is a point we often overlook. We should continue to drink water and ensure that we get enough fluid throughout the day to stay hydrated, no matter how tired we feel. You can get dehydrated even if you aren’t in the house. Keep a water bottle handy and keep sips. You should include other healthy fluids, such as coconut water and buttermilk, as well as infused or detox water, in your daily routine. You can also set drinking water alarms on the phone if you have a tendency to forget.

Eat nutritious food: We tend to snack while working, but it is important to remember that these snacks are not as important as the main meals. One should eat a balanced breakfast, lunch, and dinner when working from home or at work. Skipping meals can be very dangerous to your body and can lead to severe gastric problems. A nutritious meal that is rich in proteins, carbs and fibres will keep you full and energized throughout the day. It will also prevent you from fatigue, gastric attacks, and bloating.

Mid-meal snacking: It is important to eat a healthy meal, but it is also important to eat snacks between meals to satisfy hunger pangs. Healthy snacks such as roasted makhana and roasted peanuts, unsweetened nuts butter, protein bars, and fruits are important to keep you from consuming unhealthy foods that are high in sugar and salt. They can lead to weight gain, bloating, and other health issues.

Breathing exercises Breathing exercises can help you relax, calm your mind, and increase your focus. Breathing exercises increase oxygen flow and boost energy. Deep breathing can reduce anxiety and stress levels. These exercises can be practiced daily to keep your brain sharp and ready for anything.

Stretching:You should take a break from your computer for 30-60 minutes every hour. This will allow you to stretch your body and get up. Stretching helps maintain relaxation and improves flexibility. Sitting in one spot can cause backaches, and pain in the knee joints. Stretching keeps your blood flowing and keeps you active.

Wear computer glasses:Wear computer glasses to prevent the blue light from affecting your eyesight. You are more likely to work from home, so you spend more time in front of your computer screen. This can cause red eyes, decreased vision, and eye watering. This can cause eye damage and may be dangerous in the long term.

Collectively, we must aim to reduce mental and bodily strain on our bodies and minds to keep ourselves healthy. Keep these important tips in mind and be mindful of our health.
