Southeast Missouri Girl Scouts plant trees for the environment

CAPE GIRARDEAU MO. (KFVS). Girl Scouts from southeast Missouri are helping to save the planet.

Girl Scouts in Missouri have planted trees this month to help save the planet.

We spoke with Troop 71271 Girl Scouts and they said that they have planted a peach tree.

We dug a hole, and then we planted it. Evie Brueckner stated that it helps the Earth.

Pennie Brueckner believes it improves the environment. People will live longer if they can breathe.

They claim that planting a tree and picking out trash have many benefits.

It gives us more air, it saves us all from all the junk and stuff, Navaya Moreland said.

The green initiative encourages girls to get out and give back to their communities.
