TALLAHASSEE, Fla.Governor Ron DeSantis today released a statement regarding his administration policy on Senate Bill (SB2508), Environmental Resources.
I have been a champion for Everglades Restoration and oppose any attempt to impede progress on reducing harmful releases and sending more water into the Everglades. I also reject any attempt to take away the EAA Reservoir project, south of Lake Okeechobee.
Instead of advancing legislation to effect a major change, SB 2508 is being rammed through budget process. This short-circuits public engagement and leaves affected agencies in the dark.
