Students from across the region come together to support an environmental event

EcoAction Arlington is partnering with several local high schools and their student-leaders in environmental clubs for an Earth Day community event at Bon Air Park, Arlington, April 23rd from 9 a.m. – noon.

The initiative will educate and raise funds for the park, as well as serve as a cleanup. A raffle will also be held, with the winner getting a subscription for a year of 100 percent renewable energy for their home.

The organizers stated that this is the first time that local high schools in Northern Virginia have unified to call for climate action. They represent several thousand students from secular, public and religious schools.

Charles Wurster (founder of the Environmental Defense Fund) will be present.
