The Australian National University released a report stating that Australia’s environment is in good condition. But don’t panic.
A new study from an Australian university has revealed that Australia’s environment is improving and is in good shape as climate change continues to have its worst impact on Australia. What?
The Report by Australian National UniversityThe nation’s environmental health for 2021 was 6.9 out of 10. This is an increase from the 3 in 2020. High levels of rainfall in the last year and increased tree coverage, plant growth, leaf area and leaf area are a major reason for this.
Many indicators, such as the amount of biomass burned — down by 51% — are a result of years of climate destruction. The hole in the ozone layer has increased by 1%, ocean temperatures have increased by 0.09 degrees, atmospheric C02 concentrations have increased 11%, and the number of endangered species has increased 18% from 2000-20.
