They are calling on the Supreme Court to resolve the 2006 case, which has been infamously complicated. Rapanos v. United StatesThe case was decided by the justices in a split of 4-1-4 regarding the definition of waters in the United States. This was the Clean Water Act, which was passed to protect the water in 1972.
