We can solve the problem of mobility and environment in North Kitsap

Tom Doty, my thanks. “How will they value salamanders & frogs?” Kitsap Sun opinion, April 28, for reminding us all about the importance amphibians play in our environment.

However, I am surprised that we can’t find a solution that allows more people with different needs and abilities to access the North Kitsap Heritage Park. This park is a public park that protects the habitat for the birds and other wildlife that live there. I believe we can find a solution. Members of the Kitsap County Public Works working group are responsible for looking at possible routes for the Sound to Olympics Trail from Kingston to Port Gamble. Their job is to help protect habitat corridors, wetlands, and trail surfaces by finding the best route.

I look forward to the solution.
