The White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council’s key members said they would use $14 million from Bezos Earth Fund for the Justice40 initiative. This is a commitment to ensure that 40% of all climate and environmental investment benefits go to disadvantaged communities. On Tuesday, Beverly Wright informed attendees at an environmental justice conference held in New Orleans that Justice40 was a new idea but that more work needs to be done to make it real.
