African Women in the Media It is a network of African women working in media industry anywhere worldwide.

AWiM is seeking pitches that bring attention to the gendered nature of environmental problems in Africa.

We are especially interested in stories that focus on environmental solutions and any of the 12 elements. Program African Green Stimulus.

Journalists can also highlight the Covid-19 epidemic’s impact on ecosystems, biodiversity, conservation, and waste management, as well other issues related to the wider ecological challenges in Africa, which affect women.

Pitches that are focused on stories that have not been widely covered will be preferred. Look out for unique gendered perspectives to environmental problems. Less likely to be chosen are topics that have been extensively covered.
