WILLIAMSTOWN- The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center is hosting guided spring nature walks at 10:00 a.m. April 12 and 2:30 p.m. April 13. The group will be led by environmental educators around the nature center looking for signs of spring. Participants may hear songbirds sing, see birds creating nests, or see flowers and trees bud. All signs that warmer days are ahead. This family-friendly program will begin or end with a book or simple craft.
Eggs are what hatch reptiles and amphibians as well as birds and reptiles. The majority of eggs laid in Oswego County in spring are a result of the warm weather. The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center will host an egg hunt using geocaching at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 14. This family-friendly program teaches participants how to use a GPS device and then helps them find plastic eggs in the woods. You can either bring your own GPS unit or borrow one from Oswego County 4-H during the program. Each unit will search for three special eggs.
