Jonathan Kneebone, artist, and director of the artistic collective Glue Society, said, “The box will act as an indestructible and independent ledger of the ‘health’ of our planet. And we hope it will hold leaders to account and inspire action and reaction in the broader population.”
The creators hope this will help future generations understand how the climate crisis began and what we did to stop it.
Vladislav Kaim, a young Climate activist from Moldova, said, “It is a very creative way of approaching what’s potentially the most disastrous outcome of the climate crisis by essentially creating this ‘doomsday vault’ for [climate] data.”
This box will serve as a reminder of the climate crisis that is looming and how we can all help to prevent it.
