Hazard:
Wind chill values as low as minus 30
When:
Tonight into Monday morning.
Impacts:
The risks are higher for children and older adults, as well as people with chronic diseases, those who work outdoors, or those who don’t have shelter.
You should be aware of symptoms like shortness, chest pains, muscle pain and weakness, numbness, and colour changes in fingers or toes.
Warm clothes are important. Layers that you can take off if you become too warm are a good idea. The outer layer should be wind-resistant.
