Environment Canada has issued a winter travel advisory

Environment Canada states that additional snowfall amounts of 4-8 cm are possible by the time that the snow ends at midnight.

Weather advisory in effect for

  • Pickering-Oshawa – Southern Durham Region
  • Vaughan- Richmond Hill-Markham

Winter weather travel advisory in place for today.

After a brief break today, snow is expected to return near noon today.
Additional snowfall amounts between 4 and 8 cm is expected to occur by midnight.

Some areas, especially those in open areas, may have reduced visibility due to moderate snowfall and local blowing.

Motorists are advised not to drive without caution.

Be prepared for rapidly changing and deteriorating conditions. Be ready to adapt your driving to changes in road conditions. Be extra cautious when driving or walking in a slippery area. When conditions are slippery, slow down. Keep a safe distance from any taillights and be aware of them.
