After a long silence from the Environmental Protection Agency, (EPA), the Sunday Stabroek confirmed that no decision had been made on whether or not to grant an environmental permit to ExxonMobil’s Yellowtail development project.
EPAs Executive Director Kemraj Persram stated to this newspaper in a brief interview that the regulatory body is currently working with ExxonMobil’s environmental consultant Environmental Resource Management (ERM) on its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
