Dr. Narine HallFounder & CEO Inspace Proximity, made her second appearance at Voices of eLearning. She was able to be in the studio this time with JW MarshallInstead of a virtual appearance. The world is still feeling the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, people are coming closer together and remote learning experiences are taking a more hybrid turn.

Inspace’s education work is at the cutting edge of technology. Hall created Inspace in response to the pandemic and wanted to keep children engaged with active learning even though most schools were far away. Hall stated that what was missing was learning moments where students truly connect and feel inspired to learn more about the topic. We all know that’s why we are in the classroom as educators. That’s what makes teaching fun and rewarding. This was something that was missing in our virtual world. These problems were solved by Inspaces.

Inspaces platform offers an interactive layer on the front to encourage student engagement, and data analytics on back to measure those interactions. Hall said it was cool. You can get a view of the entire room in one click. You can also get a good idea of what is happening in the classroom. The shared experience is one of the most important aspects. The seamless interaction allows people to forget about technology and set up. It’s all about what they love to do, which is teaching.

Inspace has been shaped by educators’ feedback over the past two years. Some of these lessons led to the creation and maintenance of student spaces that allow students to collaborate and hang out.

Although many education spaces are back to in-person, the pandemic demonstrated the importance of virtual learning. Teachers discovered that hybrid models can offer the best of both the worlds. Hall said that what we are seeing is the optimization of what’s best where. Technology plays an important role in this. Some innovations include virtual campus financial assistance and registrar services, so students don’t have to wait in real life to do certain transactions that they can do on their smartphone or computer.
