Officials said that although a magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, there were no reports of any property or life-threatening injuries.
The epicentre of the quake was on the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, they said.
Officials stated that the magnitude 5.1 earthquake, which occurred at 6.45.24pm, was also felt in J-K.
It struck at the coordinates 36.55° north and 71.20° east at a depth that was 216 km, they said.
According to officials, there are no reports of property damage or loss of life.
