Jiji news agency reported February 13 that Japan’s Ministry of environment intends to revise vehicle emission standards within five year to implement and improve air quality. A panel of experts is expected present a review plan to Japan’s environment minister in March. Japan’s automobile NOx emission law was introduced in 1992. Tokyo, Saitama and Hyogo were all included in the initial emission control lists.
