Letter: Antics and urban crime are also bad for the environment. Letters to the editor| Letters to the editor

Our local environment is terribly affected by illegal motor vehicle use, illegal building usage, misuse of public right of way, urban firearms, theft damage, vandalism, and other forms of illegal motor vehicle use. Smashed-out and shot-out window, open-exhaust street race, littering, trashing green spaces, and violations of pedestrian right-of way negatively impact air quality and noise abatement, energy efficiency and walkability. These are vital environmental considerations for multi-racial urban areas. Policymakers should not continue to shield violators.
