Mr. Weiner will remain at Cox, Castle & Nicholson, where he will continue to be a specialist in complex environmental, energy, and land use issues, as well as real estate matters.

Cox, Castle & Nicholson is Mr. Weiner’s new home. He comes from Paul Hastings, where he established the Environmental and Energy Practice. He has extensive experience representing developers, manufacturers, recyclers, and consumers in matters relating to renewable energy and OSHA regulations, litigation, and legislation.

Mr. Weiner’s energy practice includes representation of wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, and other energy sources. His environmental practice focuses on brownfield development, California Environmental Quality Act (NEPA), land use, superfund and the Clean Water Act. He also handles hazardous waste management, species protection, Proposition 65, and environmental insurance. He was the former Special Assistant of the Governor (Jerry Brown), responsible for Toxic Substances Control. Mr. Weiner has been involved for more than 35 year in these areas.
