Luca de Meo, chief executive of Renault, has warned against an automotive industry that is rushing to introduce new products. all-electricNoting that it could have unintended effects on the environment, lineups are important.

De Meo stated that electric vehicles are suitable for 85 percent of their typical usage but not for longer trips, such as two to three times a year. Renault’s boss also said that the lifetime CO2 emissions from EVs must be carefully considered. Autocar notes.
Then there is the lifetime CO2 – the cradle-to-grave figure – for a car, the answer to which is not so obvious. These measurements can be used to determine if hybrids or alternative fuels are cleaner than EVs. The financial accessibility of EVs is another important factor.
