Yantai’s data shows that Yantai completed 1090 work orders to optimize and promote tasks. These were based on Yantai’s domestic advanced experience and best practices in benchmarking and table matching, which help propel the implementation and execution of policies. There have been 76 initiatives and highlights at the national and provincial levels. The city made significant advances in “nonface-to-face” approval to connect the self-built systems and platforms of municipal departments with those of the district and municipal platforms. This allows for seamless access to 603 government affairs services at both the county and city levels. Over 1400 civil matters can now be fully handled online. The city’s portal for mobile government services, the APP of “Love Shandong Throughout Yantai With One Hand”, was launched. It has more than 4.27 millions registered users. This combines 804 high-frequency apps covering health, transport, and travel and allows them to access 14000 government services via an application. The approval and handling of 80 items, including remote medical treatment, social assurance certificate and remote medical treatment, has been achieved in less than a second. Data shows that Yantai has established 43 municipal departments to review the existing policy documents from 2016, and to re-formulate policies which are not in line with the current economic and sociological development.

Yantai has been continuously optimized to attract top multinational companies, which are the world’s 500 largest enterprises. 104 of them have invested in Yantai and set up factories there. 30 of them, including Hon Hai Technology Group, Linde AG and GM, Hyundai, Toyota, LG Electronics, have invested more US than US, including Linde AG, Linde AG, GM. $100 million. Not only are they attracting large numbers of foreign investment, but also enterprises that have moved out in the past year have decided to return.
