THIRUVANANTHAPURAM – While the state government has said it will continue with the K-Rail project but the CPI, which is a left-wing party has criticised the project. The CPI State Council raised criticisms of the project.
Some CPI leaders said that the government shouldn’t give priority to K-Rail if people are suffering in Covid. They also stated that the project was harmful for the environment. According to reports, CPM leaders believed that Kerala would not be able afford the project financially and that supporting the project would be counterproductive. Kanam Rajendran, CPI state secretary, replied that the party supports the project because it was mentioned in LDF manifesto.
